Before your appointment, gently exfoliate 48 hours prior, avoid heavy sun exposure and topical retinoids for a week, and ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long. Arrive clean and avoid applying lotions the day of to help wax adhere.
Sensation varies by person and area, but our low-temperature wax and experienced estheticians minimize discomfort. Quick, professional techniques reduce pain, and we can adjust approach or provide soothing products for a calmer experience.
Most clients enjoy smooth skin for three to six weeks depending on individual hair cycles and areas waxed. Regular waxing often slows regrowth and softens hair, which can extend time between sessions.
Active sunburn, open wounds, recent chemical peels, severe varicose veins, or certain medications like isotretinoin or blood thinners may preclude waxing. Please disclose health history during booking so we can advise appropriately.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers and fragrance-free moisturizers, wear loose clothing, and exfoliate lightly after 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
Shaving is not recommended because it removes hair at the surface and disrupts waxing cycles. If needed, trim with scissors or an electric trimmer. For best results, wait until hair reaches about one-quarter inch before waxing again.
