Get answers to common questions about Chin Waxing.
Typically lasts three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and skincare. With regular waxing, regrowth often becomes finer. We recommend touch-ups every four to six weeks, and will advise a personalized schedule during your appointment.
Some tugging and brief pain are normal, but our low-temperature wax and experienced technicians minimize discomfort. You can apply topical numbing beforehand if desired, avoid caffeine, and follow pre-care tips to further reduce sensitivity.
Make sure chin hair is about 1/4 inch long. Avoid retinol, chemical exfoliants, or sunburn for 48–72 hours before waxing. Cleanse and arrive with bare, dry skin—no heavy creams or makeup—so wax can adhere and remove hair effectively.
Waxing can sometimes trigger ingrown hairs, especially with coarse hair. Prevent them by exfoliating gently a few days after waxing, using non-comedogenic moisturizers, and following aftercare suggestions. If persistent, we can recommend professional treatments or topical products to manage ingrown hairs.
Yes with precautions. Our low-temperature wax and trained estheticians reduce risk, but inform us about rosacea, medications, or skin conditions. We may perform a patch test, adjust technique, or recommend alternatives like threading or light tweezing to protect skin health.
Typically wait four to six weeks for optimal hair length and skin recovery. Individual growth varies; some clients return sooner or later. We’ll assess hair length and skin during follow-up and recommend timing for your next appointment to maintain smooth results.
